Dear Parents:
Greenville Park Leadership Academy welcome’s you to our school. Our goal is to successfully prepare students for high school while keeping them safe and secure. I encourage you to be an active participant at GPLA this school year. Parents should communicate with your child’s teacher, monitor your child’s grades, attend all scheduled parent conferences, visit the school’s website, and volunteer at the school. We need your support. With your support, your child will be very successful. Students should come to school daily, put your best foot forward in everything you do, and do your best to follow all school-wide expectations daily. Completing these simple tasks will put you on the path to having a great experience at GPLA. Here are a few upcoming events:
- Orientation - August 8; 3:30 PM-4:00 PM
- Meet and Greet- August 8; 4:00 PM -5:30 PM
- Open House-- September 13, 4:30 PM- 6:00 PM
Please visit our website to hear more about the learning opportunities that we will have in place this year and to meet your child’s teacher.
The faculty and staff here at GPLA are looking forward to an upbeat, positive school year. We are committed to providing your child with the quality education that he/she deserves. We ask that each student is registered prior to the 1st day of school, at school daily and on time, and remain at school until the end of the school day, is properly dressed, has his/her required supplies, is focused, and works to his/her full potential. With us working as a team, the sky's the limit to the academic, social, and emotional growth that your child will experience while attending GPLA this school year.
The first day of school will promptly begin at 7:30 a.m. Please remember that due to capacity issues parents will not be allowed to escort students to class. So give hugs and kisses before they leave home or get out of the car at the carpool. However, if you have not registered your child online, the school will have a designated area located next to the front office to assist any unregistered parent or guardian with the registration process. Parents may begin to drop students off at 7:00 a.m. at the carpool gate and pick students up at the same area at 2:40 p.m.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Sincerely,
Bobby Matthews, Principal
